Capt Yashika Hatwal Tyagi
Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi is a Short service commissioned lady Officer from the initial batches of Women entry into Indian Armed Forces. She passed out with a Silver medal from the prestigious (OTA) Officers Training Academy, Chennai in the year 1994. During her Army tenure, she has served in intense counter insurgency / terrorist infested areas of Assam during “Operation Rhino”. She holds the proud distinction of being the first Lady officer from logistics wing to be posted to Extreme cold climate / High altitude areas of Leh /Kargil .She participated actively during “Operation Vijay” and successfully coordinated the logistics, during the war like scenario.
After hanging her boots, she has successfully raised & executed the model of ECHS, a ministry of defense project .Wherein, she worked towards providing effective healthcare delivery to the veterans of Defense services staying in remote corners of counter-insurgency infested areas of Jorhat, Assam and Srinagar, J&K
The experience of working with specially abled children of Asha School and empowering them to live respectfully in mainstream society, still remains closest to her heart, till date.
As a college student, she represented India as student ambassador to Canada under a cross cultural exchange program called Indo-Canada Youth Exchange Program (ICYEP).
She has been the Administrative officer at Symbiosis centre of Health care, Pune and manages standardization, troubleshooting, and ensures stakeholder satisfaction at thirteen locations pan India. As a winner of SYMBIFIT event at Symbiosis International University, she believes that age is just a number and everyone must work consciously towards mental and physical fitness.
