A distinguished alumnus from the Indian High School, Dubai, Ms. Rekha Chauhan Psychologist & Mental Health Educationist graduated from the Delhi University in 1998. With a Master’s degree in Psychology and Post-Graduation in Guidance & Counseling from Jamia Milia Islamia. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology and Vocational Rehabilitation (Mental Retardation) along with B. Ed. With 15 years of work experience, as an Adolescence & Parenting Coach she has been guiding Children with Special Needs & training Adolescents in CBSE Schools, Teachers, Principals, Parents, Corporate Employees and has conducted various workshops on Mental Health Awareness & POCSO in schools and colleges across India. She was a Subject Expert & Member in developing Guidelines & Recommendations on Emotional Wellbeing for Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, MHRD and Counseling Services Guidelines for schools under Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration. A key member of the organizing group of National Conference on Understanding Disabilities & Mental Health Towards Inclusion & Empowerment organized in January 2020 under the aegis of National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities, Chennai (Gov of India). Presently, she is also the Committee Member of Working Group on Mental Health – Manodarpan (Ministry of Education) & CBSE. She is a Co-Author for two books recently published by National Book Trust, Gov. of India.
